Well, I actually like spiders because I understand the good they do. I
would prefer to have spiders than flies and mosquitoes! (We don't have any
of the two latter, probably because of all the spiders.) When you're a farm
girl and raise your own vegetables and fruits, you learn the value of
certain animals, such as spiders, mantises, lacewings, ladybugs, bees, etc.,
and you avoid killing them because killing them ultimately does more harm
than good.
