Beh, whatever germs may come in with insects and spiders aren't going to be
worth spreading poison through my house. We get maybe three roaches in the
house on a good year; this year it's more, but they will stop when the
weather gets less extreme. (And mantises carry the same germs other bugs
do, so keeping them would result in the same thing anyway.) We keep the
spiders around because they stay out of the way and are likely the reason we
don't have many bugs in the house. The black widows actually had tons of
bugs in their webs, but the tradeoff for them isn't as good!
